ISA Basic Skills
A great opportunity to combine an active holiday with learning sailing skills.
Based in Kinsale, West Cork
Pre-course experience:
You should have the skills and knowledge to the level of the Start Sailing course.
Course Content:
In addition to building on the skills covered in the Start Sailing course you will be developing the following skills and knowledge
- Picking up a mooring
- Coming along side
- Man over board
- Anchoring
- How to sail faster and more efficiently
Course Outcome:
By the end of this course you will sailing in light wind on your own without assistance from your instructor. In addition to the sailing skills you’ll also have a good understanding of other factors which may affect your sailing like wind and tide.
Irish Sailing Association Basic Skills certificate awarded on successful completion of this course.
Duration:
4 Days 10:00 to 17:00
8 evenings from 18:00 to 21:00
Price: 480 euro per person
The price is inclusive of all equipment needed.
