Introduction

This is an advanced shorebased navigation course which will equip you with the knowledge required to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. Navigation knowledge up to Day Skipper shorebased level is essential prior to joining. Sometime will be spent revising the basics before moving on to advanced navigation techniques.

This course will develop your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore practical exams and is essential for anyone aiming to be examined in the near future. The main focus is advanced navigation and meteorology skills along with an in-depth look at Collision Regulations.

We have introduced some extra midweek evening tutorials into the course to give our students the very best quality instruction and support throughout the course. Usually run over 5 single days, we have now expanded our course to offer you 4 full days tuition plus 4 evening tutorials.
The course will run from mid-January to the beginning of Feb. All sessions will be run from our base at The Trident Hotel Marina in Kinsale.
